Remodeling Update: Phase 4

Remodeling Update: Phase 4

Phase 4 is 97% complete!

As of Saturday, June 17th, navigation to the new lab and Internal Medicine waiting area was re-opened, allowing passage through the West/Radiology corridor.  Although this waiting area is for both Radiology and West pod patients, all Radiology patients will continue to use the East/Blue waiting area for approximately 3-weeks until Phase 5 is complete.  We have a small portion to remodel remaining in Radiology during Phase 5 which consists of three changing rooms and a new room for our DEXAScan machine.

As of Tuesday, June 20th, the restrooms by the front desk were opened once again, along with the stairwell to the second floor.

Phase 4 remodel took a little longer than anticipated as a result of the finding of an unexpected beam, along with the construction industry experiencing supply and demand issues that in-turn cause delays in production and delivery of supplies on-time, i.e, fabrication of doors that normally take 2-3 weeks are now taking 10-12 weeks.

Phase 5 began on Monday, June 19th, and will see the following work being done over the next 3-6 weeks:

•    Construction of three private changing areas and a new DEXAScan room in Radiology
•    All remaining walls in waiting areas and corridors will be refreshed with new paint during evening hours
•    All remaining carpet & base in waiting areas and corridors will be replaced during evening hours
•    All remaining waiting areas will have new furniture installed
•    Digital displays will be installed & live
•    Artwork & track lighting will be installed in waiting areas and corridors
•    New signage will be installed in all areas
