Celebrating a Legacy of Care
It is with a mixture of emotions that we announce the upcoming retirement of one of our esteemed Family Medicine physicians, Dr. Stephen Fuller. After years of dedicated service, Dr. Fuller will be bidding farewell to his practice as of June 27, 2024.
Dr. Fuller has been an integral part of our healthcare family, touching the lives of countless patients with his expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care. Over the years, he has built strong bonds with each of you, earning your trust and respect through his genuine concern for your well-being.
In a personal letter addressed to his patients, Dr. Fuller expressed his gratitude for the privilege of being entrusted with their care. He reflected on the meaningful connections he has forged and the countless memories shared with each individual who walked through his door seeking guidance, comfort, and healing.
Dear Patients, After a lot of soul-searching, I have decided to retire from the practice of medicine as of June 27, 2024. I regard you as more than patients; you are friends. The relationships that have been forged with so many people for so many years are hard to relinquish. That makes this transition much harder than I thought it would or could be. I want to impress upon you how much you have made my life more fulfilling. I assume that most of you have a sense that you were being helped or problems were remedied at the time of your office visit. However, I was just as much a beneficiary of our interactions. Please accept my deepest gratitude for allowing me to participate in your care. During my career, I have been a member of four different hospital and clinic corporations. I was hired by Primary Care Associates of Appleton (PCAA) over 18 years ago. This was the best career choice that I could have made. I work with marvelous, personable, skilled physicians and a wonderful administrative support staff that is second to none. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with this group. I have no doubt that my partners will do a wonderful job managing your care going forward. My staff and I, with the help of the administrative staff at our office, will be happy to assist you with this transition. Family Physicians, Wendy Schroeder, D.O., and Michael Van Abel, D.O., have the most availability and would welcome the opportunity to transition your care into their practices. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Jenna Hahn, M.D., will be joining the practice in September 2024. For additional information about our physicians or to inquire about transitioning your care, please contact our office at (920) 996-1000 or visit our website at www.primarycareofappleton.com. What will I do in retirement? I will reconnect with family. Many of you know that I love to fish, hike, and garden. I enjoy music and sports. I will spend a great deal of time reading and, of course, continuing to exercise. I feel blessed to have had this opportunity to serve you. Thanks again to all of you for your loyalty and trust. Sincerely, Stephen C. Fuller, M.D.
As we bid farewell to Dr. Fuller, we celebrate not only his remarkable career but also the profound impact he has had on the lives of those he has cared for. His legacy of compassion, integrity, and excellence will continue to inspire us all.
While Dr. Fuller's departure marks the end of an era, we are committed to ensuring a seamless transition for his patients. Our team is here to provide continuity of care and support as you navigate this change.
We invite you to join us in expressing heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Fuller for his years of service and dedication. Please feel free to share your well wishes and memories as we honor his remarkable legacy.
