Navigating the I-41 Project: What Patients Need to Know
If you’re planning to visit our clinic in the coming months, it’s important to be aware of the I-41 construction project and how it may affect your travel. Beginning in late April and continuing through late fall, the Ballard Rd overpass and interchange will be closed as part of a major improvement project.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has identified County Rd JJ as the primary detour route, and official detour signs to businesses will be posted along this route. However, PCAA patients are certainly able to utilize Evergreen Drive as detailed below if that route is more convenient.
Optional Detour Routes to PCAA
- For Northbound I-41 Travelers
- Exit at Richmond St/Hwy 47.
- Head northbound on Richmond to Edgewood Drive and turn right (eastbound).
- Continue to the Ballard Rd intersection and turn right (southbound).
- Proceed to Evergreen Drive, turn left (eastbound), and continue to Gateway Dr or Lightning Drive to access Enterprise Avenue to Intertech Ct.
- For Southbound I-41 Travelers
Option 1 (from County Rd N/Freedom Rd): - Take the County Rd N/Freedom Rd exit and head north.
- Turn left (westbound) onto Edgewood Drive.
- Continue to Providence Avenue to reach Intertech Ct.
- Option 2 (from 441 Interchange):
- From 41S heading north, take the 441 exit.
- Exit at Northland Avenue and turn left (eastbound) onto Northland.
- Continue to French Rd and turn left (northbound).
- Continue on French Rd and enter the roundabout at Evergreen Drive, taking the 3rd exit to travel westbound on Evergreen.
- Continue on Evergreen to Providence Avenue and turn left (sounthbound). Follow to reach Intertech Ct.
Alternative Routes
In addition to the detours, other crossing points such as French Rd and Meade St may be used, depending on your starting point. However, the routes outlined above are designed for smoother traffic flow and ease of navigation.
Plan Ahead
We encourage all patients to plan extra travel time to accommodate potential delays and detours. As always, our team is here to assist if you have any questions or need additional guidance.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We look forward to seeing you and continuing to provide the care you need!
