Primary care providers occassionally order lab work for patients, which can often be a critical part of an annual checkup or to help properly diagnose or manage a health issue. Primary Care Associates of Appleton's comprehensive, in-house laboratory provides one-stop service for busy patients, who can see their physician and complete their lab work all in one visit.

PCAA has 90 unique lab tests that we perform in-house. Because of this extensive test menu, 90% of our laboratory testing volume is able to be processed on-site, offering convenience and prompt results for our patients and providers. Any specialty labs that cannot be done on-site are sent to Appleton Medical Center for testing.

Primary Care Associates of Appleton has met all the criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA Inc., a leading national laboratory accreditor, whose program and standards enable clinical laboratories and staff to meet United States Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) and other regulatory requirements. COLA's goal is to improve clinical laboratory services by ensuring that each certified lab provides the best patient care and that tests are accurate and run in accordance with quality systems in order to serve patients better. 

Through a mentoring approach using education to improve quality and patient safety, accreditation is given to laboratories that apply the highest standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing, and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey. Primary Care Associates of Appleton has earned COLA Inc. accreditation to provide quality service to its patients.
