Dr. Steve Hagen Leaving PCAA for New Opportunity
In a letter dated April 12, 2019 to his patients, Dr. Steve Hagen announces that he will be leaving Primary Care Associates of Appleton at the end of June. He and his wife will be moving to North Carolina where he will be pursuing a position with a service organization called Samaritan's Purse, serving as a full-time physician for Samaritan's Purse employees. We wish Dr. Hagen all the best in his new venture and we will miss him dearly! Below, Dr. Hagen's letter:
Dear Patients and Friends, It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to inform you of my imminent departure from Primary Care Associates of Appleton, effective June 30, 2019. While I have treasured every moment of the past 14 years spent with the most trusting, appreciative and understanding patients, not to mention incredibly dedicated and professional colleagues, nurses and clinic staff, I have chosen to accept a very unexpected offer to serve as the full-time primary care physician for the employees of Samaritan’s Purse, a tremendous service organization headquartered in rural North Carolina where access to medical services is quite limited. One of the main reasons I was able to make this decision is due to the confidence I have in the expertise of my practice partners who remain at Primary Care Associates of Appleton, of which, Drs. Tara Frerks, Scott Gyorog, Roderick Hubert, David Lenz, Eugene Rigstad and Gehrig Williamson have the most availability and would welcome the opportunity to transition your care into their practices. In the near future, you will need to choose a new primary care provider. I strongly encourage you to keep Primary Care Associates of Appleton as your health care home. For additional information about our physicians or to inquire about transitioning your care, please contact our office at (920) 996-1000 or visit our website at www.primarycareofappleton.com. Words cannot express how thankful I am for the privilege of caring for you and your family for many years. Best wishes and many blessings, Steven J. Hagen, M.D.
